Comedy 

Alfie has performed at comedy clubs across the UK and is a regular MC at Comedy Bandits in Clapham - "the best open mic in London" (Chortle Awards 2023). He has also performed in many pubs.

 

Alfie won the 2022 Max Turner Prize, was a 2x BBC New Comedy Award nominee, and was a finalist for the Bath Comedy Festival New Act of the Year and the Komedia New Comedy Award, among others. 

 

He is also a regular writer for BBC Radio 4's The Now ShowThe News Quiz, DMs Are Open and Newsjack, and for The Guardian and The Observer.

Alfie is a resident MC at Comedy Bandits, which happens every Wednesday and Thursday at The Railway Tavern in Clapham. It features a mix of new and pro acts trying jokes out in a fun and laid-back way. You can book tickets here

Alfie is headed to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe and the Camden Fringe in August 2023.

 

In his new show, he will unwrap love, death and less thematic stuff like shoplifting, football and milk.

Alfie has written for The Guardian since 2016. He was a commissioning editor on the education desk before joining the 'community' team in early 2021, where his job is to interview interesting people and to edit content sent in by readers.

 

He also writes features for other sections of the paper.
